  • Why send estimated tax reminders?
  • CPAs who send courtesy reminders will tell you that it is an inexpensive client service and practice promotion that will typically generate more positive feedback from grateful clients than anything else they do.  And clients who feel that their CPA takes care of them during the year rather than just preparing their return at year end are much more likely to refer others.  And if that isn't enough reason, reminder cards will also save both you and your clients money because late and forgotten estimate payments are a major source of time and money-consuming tax notices.
  • So why postcards?  Why not emails?
  • Several reasons actually.  The most important however, is that this service is about generating a client perception of "caring."  A reminder postcard says "we care" better than a reminder email just as a birthday card says "we care" better than a birthday email.

    Other major advantages to postcards:

    ●  Bulk postcard delivery is much more reliable than bulk email delivery.  The postal service has no spam filters.
    ●  Postal delivery does not put you in violation of double-opt-in spam laws.
    ●  Most people receive hundreds of "free" emails they already ignore.
    ●  Clients who pay estimates tend to be older and less likely to rely on email.
    ●  Unlike email, clients will typically treat your courtesy reminder card like an invoice they need to pay.
    ●  Our postcards have spaces for clients to record the amount and date paid and give back to you at year-end.
